This camp is completely free, made possible by the generous support of sponsors and community members. While no payment is required, donations are encouraged and will go directly toward supporting the STMA Youth Baseball Association — helping fund field upgrades, equipment, and scholarships for future players.
Get ready to train with one of St. Michael’s own! Paxton Thompson is a professional relief pitcher in the Philadelphia Phillies organization, currently playing for the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. Before turning pro, Paxton got his start right here—pitching for the STMA Youth Baseball program and starring for the STMA Knights in High School.
His journey took him through Bradley University, the University of Mary, Parkland College and UNC Charlotte before signing with the Phillies in 2023. Since then, he’s made over 60 appearances on the mound, earning strikeouts and saves with his powerful right arm and steady presence in the bullpen.
At this clinic, Paxton will share the skills, mindset, and lessons that helped him rise from local fields to professional baseball. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your game, this is your chance to learn from someone who’s walked the same path—and is passionate about giving back to the community that started it all.
